The first vineyards of Bodega Cerrón passed into the hands of the family in 1895. Since then, they have followed traditional agriculture practices based on respect for nature and the environment. A century later, in 1995, this led the winery to obtain one of the first organic certifications granted in Spain.
The wines of Bodega Cerrón are made with organic grapes from our single-estate winery in the village of Fuente Alamo, in southeastern Spain.
The vineyards are located between 920 and 850 meters above sea level.
They believe in winemaking that is integrated with the environment and respects the natural production cycle of the soil.
For this reason, throughout these years they have followed the agriculture and wine practices based on:
- Organic and biodynamic agriculture.
- Controlled low production per vine.
- Hand harvesting.
- Wild yeast.
